Update v1.10 and Mac version

It's been a few weeks since the release of v1.00. And first of all, I want to thank you all for the nice responses I've gotten! I never would have imagined that it would get such a warm reception, from being recommended gaming sites to users sharing their creations on social media and even some devs using my little app to make music for their games! That made me really happy!

With update v1.10, I added a few improvements that I hope will make [LOFI CHIP-HOP MACHINE] even better! Let's have a look...

New Saving Mechanic

The old saving mechanic caused quite a bit of confusion - sorry! With the new save mechanic, just pressing the save or load buttons will load the data in that slot. After that, a confirmation message will show up on the display. Additionally, empty slots show up as blue, while slots that already contain data are highlighted in cyan.

Loop Mixer

In the initial release, only the volume of the drum sounds could be changed. Now you can use the same faders to mix the loop section! Just clicking on the new buttons on the right will switch between the two modes!

16 New Loops

Speaking of loops...the update adds 16 new ones, ranging from YM2612-style jazzy pianos to rhythmic percussion. Have fun!

New Loop Browsing

Browsing through all those loops one by one may get exhausting...so here's a little shortcut! With the mousewheel, you can now quickly scroll from one category to the next and then pick a fitting sound by scrolling within that category. With that, you'll find the perfect bassline or melody in no time!

Mac version

Now this one's a bit experimental...as I don't have access to the Apple Developer Program, the build is not optimized and may not work as well as the Windows version. On my iMac (OSX 10.13) where I created the build, there were no noticeable differences to the Windows version. On the other hand, my 2012 MacBook Air (OSX 10.14) couldn't keep the framerate...

I doubt there's a possibility to fix that without paying the price for the Apple Developer Program. But if you want to try it out nevertheless and don't have access to a Windows PC, then feel free to give it a go!

Other Minor Changes

• Two new preset patterns in slot 10 and 11. They will not show up if you already have saved there, but you can just rename the files to put them in another slot by changing the numbers 10 and 11.
• New chop modes AB and BA. They will alternate between Chop A and B after 16 steps. AB plays A first and then B, BA does the opposite.
• Tutorial text was altered to reflect the changes in v1.1
• Some minor performance and stability improvements
• Patterns can now be started and stopped by pressing the space bar - like any real musician would do!
